I will be camped in the U/L area all week , judging planes in the mornings, but will be in the shade of my campsite during the airshow, enjoying refreshments, and good hearted fellowship with other builders. I am a 701 builder but anyone wanting to get off their feet for a while, stop in. I will be camped along the front of the back section under a silver canopy, and flying a Navy flag from the front of the canopy. I'm short, fat, old and bald. Can't miss me. She is in excellent shape with everything working. Everything I have extra will go with bird. Head sets, tires (bought because here on list it was stated the factory tires last 50hrs, mine still look new at 70), anywhere map system, special tools, old garmin 1200xl gps, ect She is set up for night vfr. She was built entirely from Zenith kits, including firewall forward package from zenith. I ordered the Stratus EA-81 with dual ignition. I have complete Pic builders log and log books. I built her entirely by myself except nonflying friend helped me with canopy, mounting engine, and painting. I owned a Cessna 150 that I sold to build this little bird. She climbs faster, burns less fuel, cruises faster, rides much smother, and has so much more room. There is a link on web site I put up yesterday to e-mail me direct. I am proud of her and will give honest replies to all e-mails and phone calls. If you are building and want straight opinions I welcome calls and emails on this also. ________________________________ Message 4 _____________________________________ Time: 01:18:57 PM PST US From: "Ron DeWees" Subject: Zenith-List: CHT sensors --> Zenith-List message posted by: "Ron DeWees" Wonder if anyone can tell me if there is any acceptable location for CHT sensor other than under the plugs? My Jabiru has a head bolt almost between the two plugs and would be a much easier location to put sensor on. THe head fins make plug installation difficult unless fin area is cut off. Thanks for your ideas and experiences Ron 601HDS/TD Jab 3300 in progress ________________________________ Message 5 _____________________________________ Time: 03:02:42 PM PST US From: Benford2@aol.com Subject: Re: Zenith-List: CHT sensors --> Zenith-List message posted by: Benford2@aol.com In a message dated 3/14/2003 2:20:20 PM Mountain Standard Time, rdewees@mindspring.com writes: > > --> Zenith-List message posted by: "Ron DeWees" > > Wonder if anyone can tell me if there is any acceptable location for CHT > sensor other than under the plugs? I had no problem fitting the 14mm size into the area around the plugs but I reckon the 16mm would not fit. After reading the responses I've decided not to use the automotive type belts. It's obvious that a lot of folks have put a lot of thought into fitting out their planes. It sure is nice how the internet makes it so easy to tap into this collective wisdom. While I'm at it, I'd also like to ask anyone currently building a CH-640 kit about their impressions so far (ease of construction, thoroughness of assembly manual, etc.). I know there are a few folks plans building the CH-640 (Jeff, Matthew, etc.) but would be especially interested in hearing from someone building from the kit -- especially the fast build kit. Thanks for all the great information being posted on this site. I'm learning a lot while lurking here and at other kit's sites. This is how the dealer does it. I have not had a problem hitting the probes when I torque the heads on my Jabiru 2200. Chuck D. I'm in NW Houston - Cypress actually. Surprised to see your plane up for sale. You did such a good job of following through and getting it built in a reasonable time. I stopped building after the tailfeathers and right wing. Need to get started again. Best of luck in selling it. tom ----- Original Message ----- From: "Charles Sonberg" <2408s@cox-internet.com> Subject: Zenith-List: 601 HDS for sale > --> Zenith-List message posted by: "Charles Sonberg" <2408s@cox-internet.com> > > Since I have received several replies thus far off list, I'm going to > elaborate a bit on my zodie. > http://www.cox-internet.com/zodiac For further info > 361-576-2403 > This is the only place I have offered her for sale $23,900 or best offer > I will take suv or convertible as part or full trade. > > She is in excellent shape with everything working. > Everything I have extra will go with bird.
