I am planning to run my 912s for the first time tomorrow. I am concerned
about possible air in the oil lines. Should I feel confident if I get good oil
pressure (30 psi) on the starter with the upper plugs removed and the mags off
per the manual?
FWIW. I mounted my 12.5 LB battery on the right side of the fuselage even
with the access panel. I added 1.5 LB of weight and .5 LB tail skid l to put CG
at optimum position. I don't have the figures but, 1/4 to 1/3 aft in CG range
has been recommended. The A/C is painted.

Hi list.
I signed up on a different list a few days ago, and have had very little (2
or 3 per day)
Zenith list mail since. Has it been slow the last few days?
Thanks

Yes it has been slow. I notice you have plans. Are you going to build from
scratch? If so have you calculated about what it will cost for materials as
oppose to the cost of a kit?
Thanks
Chuck

Hi Hap,
I will make this comment on the fuel sender, we had no problem with the
movement but to have the sender go (complete) to full and empty in the
instrument, so we choosed to have them mark exactly in the empty side
of the instrument... when full we will be able to check it fisically
(eyes) when tanks get full. We tried several positions on the float
and couldnt get it to mark the complete range exactly.
I know is not what you asked, but might help you and others, also any
comments will be welcomed, but our wings are finished so I cant do
anything so forth...
The error was minor (divide the 1/4 of the tank mark in 3 or 4 parts
and was one), but we new it was there.
Saludos
Gary Gower.

Subject: | Gear build sequence |

Since it is a bit quiet, I'll ask a stupid (maybe) question:
At what point have the rest of you drilled and fitted the wheel forks
to the gear legs on the 601HD/HDS? I've moved my center section off my
table, but now I'm thinking that if I don't do it now, I'll have to do
it later on my back with the fuse propped up. On the other hand, I'd
rather do it later when the rest of the fuselage is setting straight
and true.
Any comments? Thanks in advance.

David,
I didn't put a drill to the forks until the fuselage was nearly ready for
the engine.
Being able to wire behind the panel and place the header tank, pedals etc is
just
a lot better with it nearer the floor.
The important part of drilling the forks is just inking thru the gear plates
after you've found fork alignment.

Subject: | [Please Read] SPAM Filter Could Be Causing Posting Problems |
For Some Members...?
--> Zenith-List message posted by: Matt Dralle <dralle@matronics.com>
Dear Listers,
Matronics is now utilizing a SPAM filter appliance to filter out the
excessive amounts of inappropriate email that bombards the Email List
Forums each day. The filter is reporting that over 66% of the email
messages sent to Matronics email destinations are of SPAM content and
reviewing the logfiles, it would appear to be true. That is indeed great!
While the Lists are enjoying the breath of fresh air afforded by the new
appliance, I am suspecting that a few legitimate email List posts are being
blocked as too, although I can't confirm this. It is difficult to churn
through the logfiles looking though thousands of blocked email messages
trying to determine if any legitimate List posts were blocked.
If you suspect that your posts are accidently being blocked by the SPAM
filter appliance, I have created a new Trouble Report web page that will
allow you to report your problems directly to me without having to use
email. If the SPAM filter is blocking your email address for some reason,
then its likely that I wouldn't be able to receive your direct email
regarding difficulty in posting. The web form bypasses the incoming email
and directs your message directly to me.
Please include as much information as possible regarding the problems you
are having including any bounced email or email error messages that you may
have received back in regard to your posts to the lists. The more
information I have about the email you are sending and what the errors you
are receiving, the better chance I'll have in hunting down the problem.
The Trouble Report Website URL is:
http://www.matronics.com/trouble-report/
I apologize for any inconvenience the SPAM filter may be causing you. I
will work toward resolving your issues as quickly as possible.
Best regards,
Matt Dralle
