Goodings" I use a split red master switch as on Cessnas (and others) on my 601HD with a Rotax 912S. Only the Hobbs is wired through the left side of the switch. When I am running the engine, I press both sides of the master switch in the usual way. When I'm working on other electrical things with the engine not running, I press only the right side of the switch so the Hobbs is not on. The problem is caused by the plumbing failing due to vibration not the concept of the switch. I went the simple route and wired the hobbs to the master circuit. -----Original Message----- From: owner-zenith-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-zenith-list-server@matronics.com]On Behalf Of Benford2@aol.com Subject: Re: Zenith-List: Re: Zenith-List Digest: hobbs meter --> Zenith-List message posted by: Benford2@aol.com In a message dated 12/10/2003 12:18:10 PM Mountain Standard Time, Flydog1966@aol.com writes: > > All-right, I'll have to ask. I was by myself for the first flight so it was hard to get video. Anyway at that time that was the last thing on my mind. I know I know you don't have to say it. I shouldn't have done it alone. Just in case. But I was there it was ready and well...
