I DID... and it helps GREATLY.. Thanks for that simple but effective
suggestion... (didn't get your name!) The elimination of the bristle brush
solved half of the problem....
Another builder from Finland (Max) clued me in offline that he discovered
that adding WATER to the original Cortec solution causes this beading
reaction.... I did some tests myself using Cortec undiluted ( a little
thick) but in this state it covers GREAT. Add just a bit of water ( I used
distilled just to be safe) and immediate beading takes place upon
application. I have a document from Cortec (that ZAC included with the
quart) that says dilution up to 25% is OK... NO WAY, I rather have a thick
coat than the incredible beading that occurs with water.
Live and learn... if anyone has additional info on this situation and/or
experience, please share. Rather get back to building than to chase down
chemical mysteries...shame on Cortec for misleading/missing information on
product use!

Has anyone put a roll-bar on a 601?
I emailed Zenith to see if anyone had submitted roll-bar plans for approval, but
Nick's answer was "As of now there are no additional drawings of modification
to provide for a more substantial roll over structure."

Has anyone experimented with different shapes for wing-root fairings for the 601?

Bob, did you search the archives?
I remember discussions around that theme a while back (years?).
I think Peter (?) Chapman had some ideas.

One of my first saftey concerns was head (my head) vulnerability in a forced
landing inversion. I modified the turtle deck and added a .058 chromoly tube
all the way to the bottom longeron. That in addition to another one at the
windshield area.
The rudder and plexy glass bubble won't save your head in a rollover!

Brett,
If you can find the blades I have a Warp drive hub and spinner for a
Rotax I'd sell.

Brett,
I have a three blade IVO Ground Adustable prop in new condition for a Rotax
2 Cycle Engine. I don't know if it fits the Rotax 4 Cycle configuration.
I would sell it for $ 200.00.

I will measure the bolt pattern tomorrow and get back to you. What
size is the prop?
And thanks for the wep site for checking the prop.
