Hello All I am so excited! Yesterday I ordered all of my 6061-t6 aluminum from Yarde Metals. I saved a bundle! I ordered 7 sheets of .016 at $2.50 a pound; 12 sheets of .025 at $2.40 a pound; 2 sheets of .032 and 1 sheet of .040 at $1.95 a pound; and 5 pieces of 1/4x1-1/2x12' flat bar (for the spar doublers) at $1.85 a pound. If you compare these prices to about $8.00-$10.00 a pound from the usual suspects you can see how much I saved. The package should be 400-450lbs delivered. Can't wait for the delivery guy to show up at my house, with the crate, and want to know were my loading dock is ;) Oh yeah and Yarde Metals was able to get this thing shipped from CT to Nashville, TN for 140 bucks . . . awesome! The rest I can get from AS since they are all small quantities. I guess I'm commited to this thing now . . .Huh? Its cool I'm having so much fun! Kevin Bonds Nashville Tn 601XL plansbuilder; rudder complete;97.3% to go! ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 08:23:48 PM PST US From: "j.breit" Subject: Zenith-List: Prop Installation on Stratus Subaru - CH601hds --> Zenith-List message posted by: "j.breit" I having difficulty figuring out how to install my prop on a Stratus Subaru and wonder if anyone else had a similar situation. The 3/8" face plate provided by ZAC appears to have to be placed between the hub and the back plate for the spinner in order to provide clearance for the 1/4" bolts that bolt the hub to the 4" prop extension. However the diameter of the face plate (squash plate) is too large to allow insertion of the inside set of smaller bolts for that clamp the hub together. I thought that perhaps the inside set of 2 bolts (4 per prop blade) are not necessary because the clamping force of the lager bolts is sufficient. Or perhaps I got a face plate that was too large in diameter. ________________________________ Message 4 _____________________________________ Time: 08:58:09 PM PST US From: "Jarek M. We should note that Yarde Metals can offer these prices only as a package deal - if anyone wants just couple of sheets, the price will go up a lot. Jarek M.
