I am sorry Scott! I forgot to give credit to you. Great site!!! Joe Motis
Joe:
No credit needed. I clicked on the link without looking at it and it took
me a few minutes to realize it was mine! I was looking at the filler and
thinking "that fella is going to have the same problem I have with the
filler not meeting the wing skin." I was particularly interested because
I'm at exactly the same point on the second wing when this photo was taken
on the first wing.
I have a new idea for a fuel door I'm going to try today and I'll post some
photos if it works out. If you have a factory tank, you should have no
problem. I didn't add an extension to mine when it was fabricated, so the
filler cap is not flush with the wing skin. I've been pondering it for some
time and I think I finally have a pretty good solution I can install on the
second wing, then retrofit to the first wing.
I hope everybody has a productive day of building.

Thanks to everyone that replied; and now I'll confess.
Finishing up a KR2S (next project is a 601) and current fuel setup is a main
header tank with a sight gauge and two wing tanks fed by a Faucet. Did not
put senders in the wing tanks, after all the 310 never had gauges on it's
wing locker tanks. Now I find I can't get licensed without a gauge on each
fuel tank. East way out is a cork and wire through the gas cap. Really
want something more sophisticated and I don't want to tear the wing apart.
