Michel:
Remember that when flying solo you have the weight of the pilot on the left side
of the centerline. You should expect a properly rigged airplane to have a heavy
left wing under those circumstances. With a passenger it should fly straight.
I find the same thing in our flying club's Cessna 150s. I'm going to appreciate
having lateral trim on the 601.

Greetings listers,
The holes were dead on. The layout lines on the ribs were almost perfect and
took minimal adjustment. I manufactured a tool to reach the inner ribs for
adjustment out of 6' of !" PVC with a drywall screw run into the end. Worked
perfect.
To anyone that has not started there wings and want to check them, it is
easy. Using a 4' drywall square on the leading edge check each rivet line for
square. If you come up with lines that are 3/8" off you have the mis-drilled
ones. ZAC replaced them for free with a 2 minute phone call to Nick. Took about
a month to receive them but they sent me the top ones the the first time. So
it is on to the Nose ribs and Leading edge starting today.
This is a fantastic site for anything XM radio that was posted on the
aerolectric site. Lots of great information and good product descriptors. XM is
definitely going in the airplane.

Good idea joe. I spent a lot of time trying to line the ribs with a stick from
both sides.

easy. Using a 4' drywall square on the leading edge check each rivet line for
square.
If you don't have a drywall square you can also measure form the inboard edge to
rivet line#1. Top and bottom measure should be the same. The front corner should
be square.

Another bird has flown the Coop. N701JR took to the air today and climbed like
a homesick angel.
Chris Heintz designs a sweet plane. Outside of a heavy left wing (a common trait)
, she flew well. I think that 40 hours in a small box will get a little old
since both my EAA chapters here are out of my area but I'll get through it.
Thanks for all the good ideas and advice I've gleaned from all on the list. Keep
pulling those rivets, it's worth it!

Congrats Jeff for completing your 701. It seems to be
a record year in terms of project completions! This
is really exciting!
