Here's my Q...I made the flaperon arm template as per the plans ( rev. date 09/2003 ) but when I clecoed an arm to it and alligned it with the trailing edge of the wing and the flaperon bracket (7V4-6) it seems to me that my arm is maybe 10mm further back than the photos in the construction manual indicate. In other words my arm does not line up equally with the wing bracket but rather sits slightly inwards. Peter, My wings are still open, I looked at the 7V46 print, at the wings, and the arms. My take is that the requirement is for the pivot holes to be in the correct place for line up when the ailerons are fitted to the wings. The geometry of the mating parts will be determined by how close they are to the design theory of each part. Re look at the your placement of the pivot hole on each arm. It would be possible to have the hole clecoed properly in space as determined by the fixture,,, and for the arms to seem miss located on their brackets. Look ahead at the aileron construction,, and the rigging of the ailerons to the wings. Hope this helps. The drawings and instructions indicate that there should be 310 mm clearance between the top of the 6B5-1 rear seat panel and the curve at the top of the 6B16-6 upper seat and baggage floor support. Mine measures out to 280 mm. I=B9ve double/triple/quadruple checked the dimensions of placement of the 6B16-6 channel (i.e. 895 mm aft of the instrument panel which is 475 mm aft of the firewall) and all seems correct. There is no variability in the placement of the 6B5-1 rear seat panel as its position is fixed by the joint between the front and aft bottom fuselage skins. Has anyone else encountered a discrepancy between actual dimensions and the drawing calling out 310 mm between the top of the 6B16-6 baggage floor support and the top of the 6B5-1 rear seat panel? Was 280 from seat back top to "bottom" of B16-6 flange. Didn't the drawing say "approx" 310? But 280 sounds a little fishy. The response I got was the current kits and plans have been rearranged to allow for approximately 5 additional inches of leg room. So this should be an easy work around on your plane, although a hassle. You might call AMD to see if they will send you an updated set of drawings showing the increased leg room. The design has been changed, moving the rear seats back about 100 mm which does make a big difference. To do it, the baggage area is changed a bit, there is a new flap motor bracket, the rear seat rear support is different and attaches to the floor behind the pulley assembly, and the front seat front support is moved back 100mm. You can probably re-use most of your seat parts, seat belt brackets etc. The tunnel assembley is 450mm instead of 350 mm. Zac has the updated drawings from 1/04 that detail the changes. I don't think it will be too difficult to make the changes, but I'm sure it's not what you wanted to be doing at this point. If you have any questions or want to see pictures, let me know. I just finished the rear seat area last week.
