Looking at the wing skeleton I can see where they can be added. Is there any truth in this? If necessary Chris would have done this? Thanks, Dirk. An admittedly dumb question about the side-tilt canopy on a 601... What keeps it from sliding back due to loads from the airstream? Does it rest against the bearing blocks? Thanks. The latches are spring loaded and attached to the inside of the cabin side walls. The canopy rests in the half-circle notches on top of the bearing blocks. Not a very good description, I am sure, but perhaps you can decipher it. Is anyone using a spray gun rather than a brush? Any suggestions on how to apply this stuff and not make such a mess? Thanks for any ideas. (Zac calls for neutral but I understand some wings are set this way for higher speed) It is too late because I drilled the holes with things set for neutral flap and I am at the upmost travel on the flap motor. I could cut and shorten the flap actuator assembly to achieve a little more up. If I was doing it again I would tie the flaps tight to the trailing edge of the wing and set the worm screw for the max up and then drill (would have been a heck of a lot easier than the way I did it with all the measuring). This way I could close the gap a little more with the up limit switch. Jack in Clovis CA "I end up with about a 8-10mm gap between the front top edge of the flap and the trailing edge of the wing.
