Phil,
I believe the A4 & A5 both have a standard grip length (0-6mm for A4 and 0-8mm
for A5)
Listening to Chris @ sun and fun I recall him saying that these are the only two
rivet sizes/grip lengths required for the 601.
Good Luck

I used the leading edge fuel tanks in my 601HD. In that situation, there
are several A6 rivets also required, since some of the solid rivets must be
drilled out and replaced in the wing spar. ZAC supplied those A6 rivets in
my kit, and I have several left over.

Rope on the manifolds works fine. Also two large sons-in-law are a suitable
substitute, the 912 isn't that heavy.

Hey guys (and gals?)
I am assembling the elevator and the photo assembly guide is confusing me on the
sequence. as I understand it I go ahead and rivet the center channel together,
then rivet the bottom of the rib flanges to the skin (well, the skin to the
flanges to be exact) then leave the top completely cleco'd until the hinge,
elevator horn, etc. is installed. That would make closing the top of the elevator
one of the last functions. is this how anyone else has completed it?
next question; I have about 2-3mm of overhang on the top of the elevator skin.
I assume I need to trim this back flush with the LE of the elevator for appropriate
edge distance when it comes time to install the piano hinge?
Thanks

Subject: | Corvair Engines Available |
--> Zenith-List message posted by: gpjann@juno.com
I visited Ken's Corvair Shop this week and found that he has engines and
parts for sale.
Ken is a car enthusiast and specializes in Corvairs.
Ken has been gathering, rebuilding, and disassembling Corvairs for many
years and has a lot of parts and engines for sale.
I spent some time with Ken going over the engines and parts we use in
building experimental aircraft engines.
He knows what engines, serial numbers, and parts we use and said he will
replace any part which did not meet the buyers satisfaction.
Also his engines will include good core parts, harmonic balancers, etc.
I reviewed his storage of parts and found that he has a number of
standard sized cranks.
He may be able to crate engines for shipping, but will charge for
crateing and shipping.
Ken's willingness to sell us the right configuration is a big plus, and
makes shopping for an engine easier, quicker, and we should realize a
savings.
I'm only a customer of Ken and am not realizing any payment or kickback,
only wish to pass this information on to AirVair drivers.
