I have an acs gascolator mounted on the bottom right side of the firewall. Since the fuel pump is on the extreme top front side of the engine any advice on running the lines across the top of the engine, how to split to both carbs, some type of protection on rubber hose, or thoughts on using steal braided fuel line in the cockpit and engine compartment. Have a great Memorial day weekend and thanks again. On fiberglass slat tips... I tried to make them fit as I was drilling and clecoing everything together. They still came out well.... not so hot, but referencing the pics I took of the Zenith demo at the rudder workshop they are not so hot either. I have to remind myself It was not somthing that bothered me while looking at the demo a couple years ago and it most likely bother me when mine is painted and finished. On panel thickness, I went with somthing that Skyshops 701 built planes have. I sectioned the panel into 5 sections in which the 2 sections in th middle removable for access behind the panel. The radio stack in the middle does not remove. They are .040 inch thick and with instruments installed very robust. I cut openings in .025 inch panel, only what was necessary to allow instruments to pass thru while removing panel. Have a great Memorial day and keep in mind there are guys dieing everyday now for us.
