    Subject: update
--> Zenith-List message posted by: "Zodie Rocket" <zodierocket@hsfx.ca> I have just added Neil Hulin's compressed air distribution system to www.ch701.com and www.ch601.org also added Acrylic rudder fairing. For the 701 plans builders, there is now an Extruded angle-cutting layout provided by Keith. In addition, many more updates in both websites. IF anyone has things to contribute, we are more then happy to post your ideas and tips for other builders. Here in the States we are allowed to use self-locking nuts on prop bolts, especially if the prop manufacturer reccomends their use. I've never seen Nylocks used as the self-locking nut on a prop, but I did use them as a back-up lock-nut behind the threaded flange on my last Rotax/Warpdrive setup. Rick Pitcher 601HD-3300

--> Zenith-List message posted by: "Lance Gingell" <lgingell@matrix-logic.com> Rick, I went with a Garmin SL40 from Pacific Coast Avionics. This COM has a built in VOX intercom, and the ability to monitor a second frequency (almost giving you 2 COM's in one). It is all software configurable for things like intercom volume, sidetone, etc. etc. It is also very slim, light, and around 10watts output I think. I paid around $1250 for it, and its a *great* piece of equipment. Cheers, ..lance http://lancegingell.com/plane.asp

--> Zenith-List message posted by: "Aaron" <agustafson@chartermi.net> My 13" duck bill pattern snips(WISS) have been sharpened so many times, that they do not close all the way anymore. Before I order a replacement set, I thought I would inquire of the list as to the best shears for long straight cuts in full sheets. Aaron do not archive

Before I order a replacement set, I thought I would inquire of the list as to the best shears for long straight cuts in full sheets. I would recommend the Prosnip offset shears. The offset portion is much more "out of the way" than the Wiss ones, and thus easier to use for doing long cuts. Peace, -- Ihab DO NOT ARCHIVE -- Ihab A.B. Awad, Palo Alto, CA
