Any ideas? Merry Christimas, Gary Boothe, Cool, Ca <gboothe@calply.com> 601HDSTD, WW Corvair Conv. - complete Tail Group - complete. Working on Wings...

--> Zenith-List message posted by: Bob Miller <tutuzulu@gmail.com> Maybe this is heretical, but I don't understand why cork is recommended. Seems to me it would dry out over time. A lot of aircraft manufacturers have used heavy duty felt, apparently because (unlike rubber) it allows for movement of the tank without binding, it provides padding, if it gets wet it wicks the moisture away, and it's very durable. Why would cork be superior? -- Bob Miller 601HD N722Z Charlottesville, Virginia
