What are you guys using for cork padding for the fuel tanks? The only thing I have
found is the 1/8" thick drawer lining. Any ideas?

I have wondered why also . seems neoprene woul be ideal Have some
gasget materials in my storage in the desert 100 miles NE !!! Hard to make
things out of scratch if you don't have scratch

Gary- Zenith will sell you a roll of cork ( 1/8x1 1/4 approx) with glue on
one side. Worked for me.

Gary- Just looked it up. The cork strip is P10412-cork strip self adhesive
1/8x1x50ft. You will need 50 feet per tank.Don't have a price- mine came
with the fuel system kit.

Maybe this is heretical, but I don't understand why cork is
recommended. Seems to me it would dry out over time. A lot of
aircraft manufacturers have used heavy duty felt, apparently because
(unlike rubber) it allows for movement of the tank without binding, it
provides padding, if it gets wet it wicks the moisture away, and it's
very durable. Why would cork be superior?
