When both right and left are symmetrically opposite its faster to make both parts at the same time. You didn't have the 3 spars all setup together as a 27 foot assembly though for drilling the main attach holes, right? You just did the right spar to the center spar then took that apart and setup the left spar in the center spar. My center spar is now hanging on the wall. Once I make the left spar I'll set the dihedral for that. -------- Andy Shontz CH601XL - Corvair www.mykitlog.com/ashontz Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=114131#114131 ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 05:01:51 AM PST US From: "wade jones" Subject: Zenith-List: Baggage floor Hello group ,question .When riveting the baggage floor onto the side "L" angles the top longerons interfere with the rivet gun .How is this best handled . Leave the baggage floor traverse L angles off until the floor is installed. This way, you can bow the baggage floor to get it under the top longerons. If my attached picture worked, you can see the double row of cleco's where I substituted a u-channel for the L-angle. The aft floor will have the side L-angles riveted to it before placing the floor in the fuselage due to the longeron proximity. The forward baggage floor will be left un-riveted until close to the end. Good luck, -------- David Gallagher 601 XL, tail and wings completed, working on fueslage. After completing my CH 640 rudder in Brampton ON at the RAA hosted Zip fly-in, I would like to extend credit for the great people who helped, hosted, encouraged and made the experience a worthwhile effort. The RAA folks, Alain and Pierre as well as the rest of the attendees (with the exception of the VANS snobs who tried to provoke a scene) were some of the nicest folks you'll ever find anywhere. I would also like to give exceptional credit to Mark Townsend for his patience and expert guidance during the process. For anyone who lives in the Northeast, I would recommend Mark and Can-Zac as the supplier and technical counselor of choice for all of the Zenith products. If Mexico seems a bit far, Mark can provide everything you need from kits to technical support of the highest caliber. Kudos and sincere thanks to all members of the Brampton RAA chapter, and especially Mark for his tutelage and tolerance!
