From: "mosquito56" Sent out the check for my jab3300 today. Has to be in by Friday to get the price before the devaluation kicks in. About 2 months before I was planning but what the heck. I certainly hope most of the cooling issues have been worked out. Also hope the new homebuilt videos cover this area of cooling a little more. From: "kmccune" Good News! Its seems to me that the cooling posts at least have died down. I have to admit that the 3300 was my first choice, but for the cost. Maybe if I'd let another hobby go.... nope thats not going to happen, so auto conversion for me :D -------- Kevin Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=151635#151635 ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 04:19:05 AM PST US Subject: Zenith-List: Re: Drill bits - recommendations From: "kmccune" I'll second (or maybe third or fourth as I didn't count) the split drill bit comments. I use to have a side business building custom electrical panels and the Split points outlast and out perform the chisel point ones. Plus as stated they don't require pre-drilling a pilot hole. The upholstery is the one that skyshops is selling: Very nice quality (I have the leather option) and good workmanship. The side panels still need to be done by yourself, the precut-leather with side pocket is included. I have seen some people drill them, so I assume it's okay. And I know some of you have formed the straight edged ones with the bending brake, but my test pieces on the triangular shapes have so far turned out uneven too. Any tips? I remember concluding that AGM (abosorbent glass mat) had little potential for leak even if punctured, low resistance, and best performance in the cold. I do also remember being warned that they don't hold up too well in a hot engine compartment. Starting to remember also something about avoiding long term trickle charging, but not too confident I'm remembering correctly.. Been happy with mine (14AH? Geez, can't remember a thing) and it spins over a cold 912S with the original weak starter, from behind the lower hatch in the rear fuse. Now if only the 912S charging system could actually charge it below cruise rpm with the lights and stuff on.. I dont do any hole in the ribs when I formed it. I press it with C clamp and a filing clamp, independently of the size of the ribs. I put C clamp somewhere that I dont have to remove it when I formed both side of the ribs.
