Todd told me himself that he and Zenith made a hand-shake agreement at Sun-N-Fun
that he would now be their canopy supplier. I think they are working out the
details and formalizing the agreement. He told me that he would not be selling
Zenith canopies direct anymore, just through Zenith. I bought my canopy just
prior to Sun-N-Fun. As far as contacting Todd, he always answered the phone
number listed on his web site whenever I called him.
Good luck,

I know about as much as this guy.

S701-1 is the one you want. The terminal labeled "To Starter Contactor"
also feeds your buss (or at least it does mine, which is a single
battery system). If you have Express SCH, I can send you my wiring
diagram off line.

Thanks for the information Dave (and all that reply).
While I was at Zenith picking up my wing kit, I took a ride with Roger in the
601XL demonstrator. The first thing I noticed when he closed the canopy, it
hit my headset. If I was able to order my canopy direct, I'm sure Todd would
be able to give me either more height or width on the canopy so this annoyance
would be solved. I also was wanting a canopy made of Lexan and have a light
tint on it. I'm wondering if Todd or Zenith are going to be offering to make
these adjustments? It will be interesting to find out just how they are going
to handle this. If Todd or Zenith won't offer to help the pilot custom fit the
canopy to what he wants (or in my case needs), I will be looking for a different
supplier for my canopy. I will not fly an airplane that I will constantly
have to tip my head to the left or right so it won't hit my head....
Thanks again for the reply.

Geoff,
I'm not sure we know enough about your application to answer. I used the S701-1,
which works in my schematic, but it might not work in yours.

Larry,
The canopy I got from Todd is definitely bigger than the finished size of the canopy
on the ZAC demonstrator. I even cut mine down a bunch and it still sits
taller. I am 6' 00" and with my seats at about 4-5" thick, I do not get bonked
by the canopy with headsets on. See the picture attached which is about the
best I can do to compare the two. Mine starts up on a steeper angle in the
rear and has more height in the head area. I have no actual dimensional comparisons.
My ZAC canopy hardware kit worked just fine with the Todd's canopy despite
the differences since the tubes are made extra long anyway.
I am guessing that you will be happy with Todd's canopy.

Larry,
I've gotten email replies from but usually only after long delays.
I don't think it's a preferred means of communicating with him.
Here's his phone number.
