We are having our Central Oregon Air Show coming up the 22nd and 23rd of August. I would love to see some Zeniths at the show. It is going to be a really good show. I am hoping to have my XL there next year. I hope there are some local Zenith planes that can make this show. Larry Husky Madras, Oregon **************Get fantasy football with free live scoring. After looking at the Aircraft Spruce catalog online, I think they're RC Allen RCA26-AK1 AI, RC Allen RCA15AK-1 DG, a United Instruments VSI, and I think a United altimeter as well. Subject: 701 for sale
I have a very nearly complete 701 fuselage I'd like to sell. Includes nose gear strut, rudder pedals, control stick ,flap handle, flap control, etc all installed. When I installed the gear/strut pick-up I found the wing strut will not line up with the wing attach point. So I figured I'd make new ones with the correct angle(plans were wrong) but find I just can not make the bolt holes in the new ones line up with the existing holes in the fuselage.Nor can I go oversize bolts and maintain the 2X edge distance. I've abandoned this project and will sell it for $1,000. That's right, an assembled fuselage for less than the price of materials ! Fix this and its ready to go on the gear, and add wings. Its located in Westford Ma. Sorry, no pics. Tried to sign up for the new 701 list but had no luck, feel free to cross post. do not archive Phil Day **************Get fantasy football with free live scoring. Hi list Read Bill Naumuk's comments this morning re back up alt and ASI. I am using the MGL glass panel for my machine and suggest you look at an Angle of Attack system for your backups. It gives you what you need as to flying the plane. If your IFR, and lose everything, an additional altimeter will be almost useless anyway. Also, they make pretty good watches that will give you altimeter and heading readings. Just a thought. John Butterfield XL, Corvair torrance, CA

WHo gives a ^%$#^ bout TSO. TSO means pay out the ass for licensing that does not make anything safer. If it can go in the Rutan Rocket ship, its good enough for some rincky dinky EAB at 110 mph in my eyes. TSO also means, for a factory built aircraft, "legal for IFR" for the primary flight instruments. That is why I went with steam gauges instead of a Dynon. It alo means that comparing costs is not apples-to-apples. -- Jay Maynard, K5ZC http://www.conmicro.com http://jmaynard.livejournal.com http://www.tronguy.net Fairmont, MN (FRM) (Yes, that's me!)
