This year a lot of LSA have polish and refinement that compete directly with Zenith. Few offer plans, builder experience and price anywhere near as good as the Zenith series Id also guess the 650 changes have addressed all past concerns with better materials, roll over protection, easier latching, more comfortable ergonomics, strength of materials, etc. These improvements would have to be on the drawing board for several years to successfully work them in. I was pleased to see Zenith made these improvements, stays abreast of the competition and still offers plans. Way to go Nick! Did any one happen to note how the diagonal members of the roll over structure are attached to the airframe? Do they appear to fasten to the lower longerons? The arched shaped tubing looks like it's fastened to the upper longerons. Bob Dingley 601XL ************** Looking for a car that's sporty, fun and fits in your budget? Read reviews on AOL Autos. The V tubes terminate at the upper longerons. The hoop is still aluminum and rests on the upper longeron. The steel V supports the hoop at its top with a U-shaped saddle. -- Craig From: owner-zenith-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-zenith-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of MaxNr@aol.com Sent: Tuesday, August 05, 2008 4:54 PM Subject: Zenith-List: RE: Re: 601XL Support A question for anybody that has eye balled the 650XL.
