I must , regrettably, sell my Zenith 601 XL project for several reasons
and I wanted to let the good folks on this listserv know before
advertising in Trade-a-Plane or elsewhere. The wings are complete, and
have Whelan strobes with position lights, and a landing light. All
control surfaces are also complete, and the fuselage is about 70%
complete. I have a brand new Jabiru 3300 engine still in the crate and
shrink wrap, along with a complete Jabiru firewall-forward kit with
engine mounts, heat shrouds, cowling, spinner, beautiful Sensenich
wooden prop, and all associated parts for engine installation. An EAA
Technical Counselor looked at it an earlier stage of construction and
signed off on it. The project lacks only the canopy kit ($1450),
instruments, and upholstery to complete the aircraft. I will sell the
project for what I have in it, which is approximately 36K, which
represents several thousands less than the current prices for the engine
and kit. All of the work done on it is just gratis. Please contact me
off line at richardharvey@nc.rr.com, or 919-819-6991.

      h-List message posted by: "wa7dvd" <wa7dvd@comcast.net>> > I spent consider
able time installing the Tru Trak servos in my XL. It seems that the rudder
cables were located differently in rev 1 drawings and the pitch servo fits
with the cables that position. In rev 2 and rev 3 drawings the rudder cabl
es were moved (I believe to reduce cable interference with each other) and
the pitch servo does not fit. I originally installed the cables as per rev
3 drawing. To make the servo work I moved them back to the original positio
n and then installed several extra fairleads to make sure to make sure the
cables do not interfere with each other. Everything seems to fit now. Here
      are some photos of what I did.> > BK Johnson> 601XL - N601BK (reserved)> >
