This is what we have done. Go to Wal-Mart and get THEIR cheap brand of aerosol
Carburetor cleaner. Spray a little on a rag, or on the part. It works great.
Its about 1.25/can. If you buy more than 3 cans at a time they card you because
they think you are sniffing it. The cheap stuff works because it does NOT contain
a lubricant residue. The parts are left shinny and clean. Even takes off
fingerprint oil. phill

When you talked to XM did they try a reauthorization. If not call them and have
them do it. There should be NO cost for this.

Gig,
If by "reauthorization" you mean a receiver refresh, yes it's been done. In fact
my account has been deactivated and reactivated and refreshed several times.
The people at Avmap think that the problem is in the XM signal and how my
account is configured. It is an isolated problem and Avmap thinks that a solution
will be found towards the end of the week.

Yep that is exactly what I meant. You can always try a hammer. :)

I thought about a hammer. That is why I ordered a static sensitive hammer made
specifically for electronics just in case it's needed.

Subject: | Canopy Conversion Video now available! |
HomebuiltHELP is happy to announce that it now has a DVD video
demonstrating the conversion process of changing a 601XL canopy to the
new style CH650 canopy. This presentation uses the kit made available
by Zenith for this purpose.
It was quite an experience to participate in this production - led by
Gus Warren of www.FlywithGus.com who orchestrated the steps found on the
video. We were probably among the first to perform the conversion, out
side of Zenith.
I don't sell canopies, but it is my opinion that after reviewing the
components and engineering of this new canopy, it would be hard to
imagine that anyone would not be pleased by the "improvements" it
provides. There is obviously a cost and investment in time to perform
the conversion, but I think most would be happy at the results. It is
nice to have options like this that are retrofitable!
For info on the video:

Thanks
Jon
