Steven, When you said $180 I don't think everyone noticed you said it was an
8x12 sheet as we are used to getting 4x12 size so that was $90 for a 4x12
also I don't know if you said that was Canadian dollars in which case it is
a very good price even for .025" material (you didn't specify thickness.
Also as others said watch for someone selling their plans on ebay or
barnstormers since some people are wanting to go to the new 750 design.
Hang in there, you can do this, and with care and patience you can do it
cheap too!

Is there anything that could be done to make the re-install of the side mount fuel
senders easier?
It looks like it's possible to do it through the fingerscreen access panel on the
bottom of the LE skin, but I haven't got to the stage of installing my senders
yet. Why was the re-install such a killer?

Actually, my seal leaked and I had to remove the sender to re-seal it. It
was a bit of a pain but not really that hard to do.

Congratulations Ray! I too had Gus perform the first flight and after watching
his pre-flight video in the Zenair newsletter, there would have been a lot of
things I might have missed had he not been there.
The 650 looks great and if I weren't done and too tired to make the changes, I
might be tempted to make the switch.
By the way Gus... just a short note to say thanks for putting a really superb pre-flight
video together. The checks on the rudder bearings and other items made
me change my POH and check-list.
Again Congratulations.

Hi Scott. I just watched your video that came with the Zenair Newsletter and really
enjoyed it. In addition to watching how the AOA worked during Take-off and
in flight, the scan of your instruments prove that I may still have the wrong
pitch for cruise flight (you were at 3000 and I usually am at 2800). The really
neat fuel covers were great. I'm not in a position to actually install them
since my fuel caps are flush with the wing however there did not appear to
be any fasteners used to attach the slider to the wing. So how did you do that?
By the way, my wife and I were near Minneapolis a few years ago and asked someone
at a gas station where Lake Wobegon was. The attendent just started laughing
and eventually told us... so when listening, never try to fly from Nebraska
to lake Wobegon :-).

Scott, if you want to make flush fuel couvers all you do is cut some alum
sheet and slip it in between the cap and wing skin it make's for a flush
look and it also help's to keep rain out of the tank and wing. Ill send pict
of mine. Had to do it last year when I was tied down out side It work's
great and look's good . Joe N101HD
