I just thought I would let others that are worried about the 601/650 know what fun they are missing by not building. Here is the link _http://aerolite.camstreams.com/_ (http://aerolite.camstreams.com/) It also has a chat that I might open sometime Jeff **************One site keeps you connected to all your email: AOL Mail, Gmail, and Yahoo Mail. I advertised these wheels about a month ago. Here they are again at a lower price, just $750.00. The wheels are in perfect condition and ready to install. I have also a pair of Cleveland 10-35 master cylinders which have never been used and are in like new condition. These are sold by ACS for $249.00 ea. I am asking $100.00 ea. If interested please contact me directly. Thanks, Jerry jerry@jerryhey.com

Hey all - For anyone interested in my previous torque tube question, I have heard from Zac and they stated, as I conjectured also, that considering the aileron cables can be lengthened/adjusted/shortened to the rear flange on the tube and the angle of the error (I've since confirmed it's 6 or 7 degrees off) is small there should be no problem with the throw for the ailerons. They offered that I could send it back for a replacement...... I'm not sure that I will since I've confirmed only 6 degrees off, with the trouble of the shipping, etc. Tho not a perfect piece, if it's safe it won't be seen at least so I'm leaning toward keeping it. Anyhoo there it is, fyi...... Dave XL build Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=220575#220575

I had same problem with my 701. You would think this is an easy jig to ensure exact measurement. Someone is not watching the store. Ron- Since no one has a lead to off the shelf bezels, I'm trying to figure a way to make the bezel without gluing it. I'll get it, but not in a hurry. Stick some plastic wrap over the face of the instrument and stick it in the hole. Then mix up some epoxy and fill the gap around the bezel with it. When you remove the instrument and clean up the opening, you should have a perfect fit to the instrument face. I can't say how well it would work, but it might be worth a try. The best way to avoid this problem is to use an knock out punch to make the instrument holes. These are available for both 3 1/8 and 2 1/4 inch instruments. I borrowed a set from one of the members of my local EAA chapter. Subject: Self Leveling Laser Awesome Time Saver
    From: "MHerder" <michaelherder@beckgroup.com>
Here's a useful tip, I hope... I bought a strait line laser a while ago, it was a total piece of crud as the bubble was wayyyy off, I figured it was a fluke, returned it and bought another.... Same thing. Needless to say this was frustrating. I have been aware of self leveling lasers and have used them many times at work, but understood that they were quite expensive and I figured I'd just use my good ol plumb bob and good quality levels I have... RYOBI makes a great self leveling laser that was on sale for fifty bucks. This is coming from someone who hates Ryobi, I am a Milwaukee guy. But, This thing is AWESOME. I highly recommend it to anyone especially as you get close to the parts where you connect the fuselage. I have it set a foot or so above the firewall stiffenner and I have used a tape measure to check all spots of interest for level, including wing level, twist etc. A word of caution... Never trust one level, check it against another, and check it against itself by flipping it around, same goes for a laser, since you can drop it and get it out of wack, or it could get out of wack in shipping. I checked my laser level against my bubble levels and it was DEAD on. I got my fuselage leveled up in about an hour or so, and I guarantee there is no twist in this baby, this is much more time consuming with a regular old level. I was able to use a wooden jig with leveling nuts at the bottom, slowly but surely, one adjustment at a time I finally have it dead on! One other tip to regarding it's use, you must rock the tape measure back and forth to get a good reading (toward and away from the laser unit). Record the lowest/smallest number you get since it will be the smallest/shortest when you are perfectly plumb. Good Luck Ryobi Model ELL0006 -------- One Rivet at a Time!
