They both looked good, but neither had all of, nor exactly what I needed. The ones I got from ACS and EAA have a black background with white lettering.? I have a medium gray panel.? I really didn't want the old "Dymo" lettering look.? That's why I went with the Brother P-Touch lettering, using white letters on a clear tape. I used their black letters on a silver panel. Need a very sharp razor blade to cut out, and very good eye sight and lots of light to get them on nice and straight. I figured I didn't need or want access to the fuses in flight. Indeed, after a life time of driving cars and flying planes I have never had a fuse failure or circuit breaker trip. I also built large inspection panels in the forward top skin. This allows easy access to the fuses and also to the back of the instrument panel. I'm not wild about having the fuses exposed where they could get knocked out of the block. My plan is to recess the whole block and cover it with a hinged door. If I use the Waytek LED fuses I'll make the door transparent. Others have mounted the fuse block on a hinged panel that folded up under the panel. If you follow the "fuse" philosophy then you don't plan on messing with fuses in flight - just "fly the plane" -- Craig From: owner-zenith-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-zenith-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of Bill Naumuk Sent: Thursday, December 25, 2008 5:01 PM Subject: Zenith-List: Gettin' close All- Some said yes, some said no.
