Do not slosh your tanks
I have seen some RV's that have sloshed tanks and the slosh WILL flake over
time. I saw the pics of the tanks and don't see much pro seal on the outside.
I would cover every rivet and not want to see any seams from the outside.
More than likely you are leaking from a rivet and you need to cover them.
Jeff
Piece of cake.
I pulled my wing on a Flight Design and poured it in rotated the wing (left
and right, up and down on the ends) and set it on a couple of sawhorses.
Done.
I sloshed it twice to be sure.
Better than having a leak or even better, not having to bother to hunt for
one.
It's used world wide for sealing all kinds of tanks.

Ya, I built a couple of RV tanks, and the word is that if you don't clean
the tanks of all oils and other contaminates first, the slosh may come off
later and clog your fuel filter and cause the engine to stop..
I don't think Vans recommends sloshing anymore because of the problems.
Proseal will never come off, even if you want it to later (don't ask me how
I know)

Kreem Weiss will not flake or come off if you do it right and it's just too easy
to do it right. If you could look into a Flight Design tank near where you live,
you would see why it doesn't flake. It becomes the tank. Hard as a rock.
Use Kreem Weiss not some other cheaper brand.

Used UMA tach (Rotax), oil pressure, oil temp, coolant temp, and VSI for
200 hours without problems.
Of interest was the fact that when I went to get my Chinese built
altimeter calibrated to my transponder encoder the technician gave it a
50% chance of passing. It did pass but just (was sticky on pressure
increases). Next time I would spend the money to get a quality American
instrument (ie UMA).

PDF is good. If you don't already have it, Google PDF Creator which is free
and works great.
It might be better to submit it to the Matronics Zenith-List Photoshare. See
http://www.matronics.com/photoshare/
for instructions. Alternatively, submit it to CH601.org
http://www.ch601.org/default.htm
For me, these locations are more easily searched than the Matronics archives.

Hey Gang!
In an effort to put the E back into EAA, a new offering was just
released.
EXPERIMENTER has been resurrected in electronic format!
The goal here is to bring back the hard-core, hands-on experimental
aviation that we all miss. There won't be stories about $20k paint
jobs, $75k certified engines, full leather interiors and all those
hired-gun aircraft that we've all grown tired of seeing in print.
One-of-a-kind projects, plans-built, modifications, improvements,
successes and failures, all the stuff we need to see in print to
fulfill the LEARN aspect of the "Learn, Build, Fly" mantra of the
past.
Paul P is taking an active role in this as he's always been a hard-
core advocate of grass-roots experimental aviation.
So I encourage each and every one of you reading this to click the
link above and see the effort being made. Read through the entire
work and PLEASE respond to the survey at the bottom of the page. I
GUARANTEE you that all eyes and ears are on this effort and your
comments WILL be read and learned from by the editorial staff at EAA.
You will not be wasting your time.
And PLEASE pass this note along to every e-mail group you belong to
and everyone in your address book who might be even remotely
interested.
This is the best chance we've had in like, forever, to be honestly
heard by EAA. A lot of work went into the first issue and they need
to know if they are on the right track or not. I believe that your
comments could potentially reshape all the EAA publications in the
future.
Thank you!!!
Sincerely,
Patrick Panzera.

Pavel,
I recall some question about the matching of S/Ns of my spars/center spar
assemblies with my kit and emailed Zenith. Reply was that they were OK. (I
believe they use precision tooling to match drill/ream the attach holes). No
problem in assembly; however, for peace of mind you might want to line up
the three pieces on the floor and make sure that the "matched" holes do
align. Be careful not to scratch/gouge/mar these critical 12 holes.

Interesting, Pavel.
Mine are numbered:
R: 15144-13
L: 15144-13
C: 15145-13
I have checked the attach bolt holes for diameter--they are fine. But I
have not checked them for alignment. As long as they line up, is would say
that there is no problem.

It seems that those numbers are matching:
R: 15828-4
L: 15828-4
C: 15829-4
I was worried because when I checked the packing list, the number for center section
wasn't there. I guess it will be fine.
