I think most of what your are looking for is in Appendix A of EXEMPTION FROM SECTION 549.01 - AMATEUR-BUILT AIRCRAFT. The appendix calls out: i) a fuel quantity indicating system for each main fuel tank; j) a gascolator located at the lowest point in the fuel system. The full details are buried in section Chapter 523 - Normal, Utility, Aerobatic and Commuter Category Aeroplanes. The fuel system is section 523.951 through 523.1001. -- ray Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=236745#236745

Top add to this, legally, if you have a main fuel tank and pump the aux. tanks into the main (do not feed them directly to the carbs) you do not need fuel gauges for the aux. tanks. But you had better know how much you have in the aux tanks! Dave Austin 601HDS - 912

Yep, I found that. I was under the impression that the fuel lines had to be aluminum, but that is not true. They do have to be 3/8" - see http://ch601.org/resources/faq.htm#Are%20there%20rules%20about%20what%20fue l%20line%20size%20should%20be%20used Carlos 2009/3/29 RayStL <raystl@nbnet.nb.ca> > > I think most of what your are looking for is in Appendix A of =93EXEMPTIO N > FROM SECTION 549.01 =85 - AMATEUR-BUILT AIRCRAFT=94.
