All- Congrats to Dred for making the front page of this week's EAA online publication. The picture looks familiar, doesn't it? You saw it here first! Bill Naumuk Townville, Pa. HDS 601MG/Corvair 95%

Getting ready to do my interior and wonder about how many yards of material my 601 will need. Doing the seats in one color and the sides and maybe some trim in another. -------- W.R. "Gig" Giacona 601XL Under Construction See my progress at www.peoamerica.net/N601WR Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=243144#243144

Gig, if I remember right, I bought about two yards and I think I will have a lot left over. It really does not take much for the side panels. I used canvas from Wal-Mart Aircraft Supply for the canvas. I put it on the back of the seat backs and sides of the seats. It will not be seen and is very durable. I trimmed in leather with three inch strips (4" before sewing) down each side of the back and seat cushions with a fourteen inch strip of material down the center. Sorry, I don't have any pics available at present. Maybe next week... Happy sewing!! Rick Do NOT archive! Getting ready to do my interior and wonder about how many yards of material my 601 will need. Doing the seats in one color and the sides and maybe some trim in another.

I bought six yards of material for my seats; it was more than enough. I haven't done the sides or trim yet. Hope this helps. Two questions Bill, Do you think you have enough left out of the six to do the sides & trim? How much did you use for the seats themselves? steerr(at)bellsouth.net wrote: > I bought six yards of material for my seats; it was more than enough. Hi, Gig. I have one piece that's 48" by 54" and three others that are about 18" by 18" left out of the original six yards.. I did the backs and seats of both seats, including the piping around the edges, plus the armrest cover. Yes, I think I have plenty for the sides and trim.
