From: "DaveG601XL" Gig, I did not install the AP74 module. That may be a project for next winter. I run mine all off the Dynon D180 buttons. -------- David Gallagher 601 XL/Jabiru 3300 First flight 7/24/08 70 hours and climbing! Can't wait!! Rick Beckman Greetings, The first flight of N601RT was six years ago today (5/12/03). Since that time we have logged 1150 hours on the engine hour meter in the Grand Rapids Technology EIS. 1292 take offs and landings. I spent about 1500 hours over 8 years building N601RT from the standard kit. Ive made numerous improvements/changes before (which is one reason for the long build time) and after the first flight. Its a great feeling to build and fly your own airplane. Those of you still building, keep at it. The personal satisfaction is great. My CH601HDS is great fun and relatively inexpensive to fly. I recall somebody posting a note here some time ago about how they hooked up their tach for the standard FWF kit from Zenith. Larry has kindly sent me the drawing of his system, but he's using the TP-45 modules and I'm not (yet). If anybody has used the standard tach and the unmodified engine ignition from Stratus, can you please let me know where your tach signal leads are connected? Also, did you make your connections using the hand-written sketch Zenith supplies in their FWF documentation? Thanks very much. From: "lgingell" I do have the AP74. It is great. Install is pretty easy and you get audio outputs for altitude alerts/AP disconnected etc. You can use the knob for entering various values. ..lance -------- Zodiac XL/Jab 3300 http://lancegingell.com Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=243880#243880 ________________________________ Message 5 _____________________________________ Time: 09:25:44 AM PST US Subject: Zenith-List: Re: Who was it that had instaled a Dynon A/P? From: "Gig Giacona" I really like the idea of the AP74. In fact if I personally would rather have it than pitch servo. I can trim a plane to fly straight and level a lot easier than I can punch a bunch of buttons on the Dynon. That was always the only problem I had with the Dynon boxes was the lack of a knob. -------- W.R.
