bottom of each rail. The thickest door seal I have found is 1/2 inch.

Attached is an operational description of tools frequently used in aircraft
- building
Gentlemen,- Equip your shop with this minimum tool inventory.=0A-=0ADRI
LL-PRESS: A tall upright machine useful for suddenly snatching flat
- metal bar stock out of your hands so that it smacks you in the chest an

- you had carefully set in the corner where nothing could get to
- it.
WIRE WHEEL: Cleans paint off bolts and then throws them
- somewhere under the workbench with the speed of light. Also removes
- fingerprints and hard-earned calluses from fingers in about the time it
- takes you to say, 'Oh nuts'
ELECTRIC HAND-DRILL: Normally used for spinning pop rivets in their holes
until-you die of old age.
SKILL SAW: A portable cutting tool used-to make studs too short.
PLIERS: Used to round off bolt-heads. Sometimes used in the creation of b

BELT-SANDER: An electric sanding tool commonly used to=0A convert
- minor touch-up jobs into major refinishing
- jobs.
HACKSAW: One of a family of cutting tools built on
- the Ouija board principle. It transforms human energy into a crooked,
-unpredictable
motion, and the more you attempt to influence its course, the-more
dismal your future becomes.
VISE-GRIPS: Generally-used after pliers to completely round off boltheads
. If nothing else is- available, they can also be used to transfer intens
e welding heat to the

TABLE SAW: A large stationary power tool
- commonly used to launch wood projectiles for testing wall

BAND SAW: A large stationary power saw primarily
- used by most shops to cut good aluminum sheet into smaller pieces that

STRAIGHT-SCREWDRIVER: A tool for opening paint cans. Sometimes used to
- convert common slotted screws into non-removable screws and butchering

icing work
- clothes, but only while in use.

Here's the stuff I used: http://www.mcmaster.com/#8121a11/=1xen2e
I found it either at Home Depot or Lowes, I haven't seen it at either
lately. I cut off the one inch angle and taped the rest to the inside
of the canopy side frame with the 3/8th inch angle on the bottom
facing inboard. I installed it while sitting inside the cabin with the
canopy fully latched with the 3/8th inch angle just slightly pressing
against the longeron doubler. This way, it doesn't interfere with the
canopy closing even in the coldest weather and it seals the gap very
well.
I originally had it extending from the instrument panel to the rear
end of the rail, but the section aft of the latch kept snagging on the
seat cushion and finally peeled off. So now it only extends aft to the
latch and I have a short piece of foam weatherstrip stuck to the
longeron doubler to seal the gap aft of the latch.

DOes not sound right with 3/4 inch gap. You need to redo that and make it tighter.
Maybe 1/4, but 3/4"?

Thanks everyone. I have more ideas to work with now. As far as the gap being
too wide, I think it a bit wide, but it is constant front to back, so to make
it loser I guess I'd have to redo the front hinge first, but the rear rest on
the latches so don't think I can lower that. I will go with the foam first, then
seek out the garage door seals to get a better looking and better fit.
Thanks again.

Does anyone know if a peel-and-stick slip-skid indicator is on the
market? Saw one once but can't remember where.
