Very good news indeed. This a significant milestone in the journey. Good luck and smooth air .... have fun tweaking the engine and assorted bells and whistles during Phase 1. Ed 601XL/Jabiru N4568G (recently blessed)

Jay, I understand your very human need for an explanation. We all want to find out what caused these accidents. This is particularly true if one cause is responsible. Actually, we want to learn from all accidents, particularly fatal ones. But that doesn't mean that the need for an answer justifies grabbing at whatever theory comes along and holding that up as the true cause. We need to proceed on facts and at this time, we have no choice but to realize that we don't have the facts to conclusively explain what has happened despite multiple extensive investigations. You need to realize that we may never have the ultimate answer despite all our efforts. Bear in mind that builder and pilot error cannot explain every 601XL inflight breakup.

Congratuations! I'm sure those of us still building and concerned about the inspection are doubly happy to hear of your success. Was the inspection done by someone from the FAA, or by a DAR? My inspection was done by a DAR. I felt he was through with the inspection, and very positive about the plane in general. He stated that he felt the plane (design) was a solid design, well thought out for the mission it was intended for. -------- 601XL N676L reserved ALMOST DONE CHESAPEAKE VA Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=245214#245214
