Hell guys... seeing a quarter inch of fuel on the cabin floor is just another indicator
that we haven't run out of gas yet.
Here's what I did this week:
Friday I pulled and cleaned all the sparkplugs then went out for .6 hr flight.
Saturday, I flew over to a nearby airport that I had not visited previously and
logged another 1.0 hr. flight.
Sunday I dawn patrolled to the edge of the 50 NMi earth and landed at another
airport that I had never visited before. Logged1.9 hrs.
Altogether a good weekend of flying.
Ed

Good question. I read two stories on the accident and listed the wrong one.

Ed, you're just having way?too much damned fun!? Where's all that "serious" testing;
Vne, Vxo, Vetc, etc ? Fuel burn, climb and glide numbers? speed and short
landings ? Every once in a while you need some Vhabdsb. (velocity = ?have a ball
& drink some beer) Keep it up and enjoy, best regards from your friend, Bill

I replaced my left fuel pump. It only took an hour and a half but people kept
coming up asking about my airplane. The 601 sure does get a lot of attention
in Texas.

I called an aircraft broker about selling my airplane. Financial
circumstances mandate my selling it. Those of you who claim I have no
interest in the Zodiac's public perception are about to be proven very badly
wrong...I expect it to cost me a five figure sum.

Jay,
I'm truly sorry to hear this news. Your stake in the 601XL has never been
in question with me. Thank you for your contributions to this list. Your
help in sending me photos of your gear installation made a great difference
in my confidence when building that section. I hope things improve so you
can return to the skies soon.
