Subject: | Re: Canopy Flashing |
Greetings,
My canopy did not have the flashing originally.
Due to my ineptness, I managed to raise the canopy with a plastic box setting on
the glare shield -- you guessed it when the two came into contact with one another,
it sounded like 45 round went off and the resulting damage was a fairly
good size chunk of the canopy plastic was laying on the ground.
At that time the bubble was over $500.00 and I would have all the work of refitting.
I chose to glue the plastic back in place and the trim did a good job of
covering the damage.
You do have a better sight picture without the trim, so I would recommend saving
it's use until you have accident like I did. Hopefully that won't happen to
you!

Guys,
Last year there was a young man selling new Corvair engine parts in the back
of the Zenith tent at Oshkosh. It wasn't Wayne, it was someone else not
affiliated with Wayne's conmpany. I lost his name and phone number. Does
anyone know who that was?

Hi
For those of us outside the US who can't make this forum, can you please post a
summery of this meeting please. and for those going please keep it civil. I think
you will find they are easier to talk to that way.

Happy 4th of July weekend to everyone...
Today, the Secretary of State of IL accepted my certificate from the Motorcycle
Safety Foundation and converted my L permit into an M permit!
I just took my first and second solo Harley rides today!!!
We both stayed upright and did not injure each other, so Timbuktu and I are very
pleased to be home safe and sound. (Timbuktu is the name of my 883 Low.)

Congratulations, Sabrina!
Motorcycles and airplanes - good stuff. (Wish I'd been able to learn how
to ride when I was a mere slip of a teenage girl :-) )
Looking forward to meeting you at OSH.
best,
Cory

Assuming the necessary clearances can be obtained from EAA, why not put all
the forums and the dinner on DVD? I think EAA has a policy of some sort about
distributing videos taken at the convention.
It would be worth a few bucks to see what went on, if it won't all fit on the
single disk that accompanies the newsletter. Maybe the dinner could be on one
disk, and the forums on another.
I'm aware that DVD-5 is supposedly limited to an hour of video, but there is
software that can squeeze things so that two hours fit on one DVD-5 disk.

Hello Jim,
-
I think that if there is the case of the videos are going to be sent in DVD
, the simplest and "standardd" system is better,- one that most (if possi
ble all) home DVD sets can read...

Mark,
The official EAA site, http://www.eaaapps.org/forumsearchresults.aspx?presenter=766, has the first two forums reversed from what you show. Are you sure your information is correct????

We had a great time and made some low passes over a cow pasture behind our new
