Tommy Walker was a little harsh on himself with his recent sign off
"Do not archive this or anything else I'm foolish enough to post" but
got me thinking- maybe the posting protocol is set up backwards. I don't
know how many times I thought I was corresponding directly with someone
and wound up on the list, or was simply brainstorming and had half-baked
ideas saved for posterity.
Instead of having to remember to add "Do not archive" to most of the
posts, how about reversing the procedure to make a poster add "Archive"
to anything that should be saved? That way, we can openly correspond or
brainstorm without clogging up the archives, yet save any final positive
outcome of the exchanges. Posts without "Archive" would die after a
certain amount of time. Just a thought.

Most email clients and web email sites, including the Matronics web
forum you can set up a signature block that can be appended to your
posts. On some it can be set up to be appended by default. You can put
the appropriate entry there.

Looking for a drawing and parts list, fitting up a forward tilting canopy to a

gas struts and instrument panel cover.

One thing to remember. The "Do Not Arcivhe" command only effects the email version
of the list. It does not keep it off of the web version which mirrors everything
that goes on the email version.
A quick search on the web forum gets 18449 hits for the search term "Do AND not
AND archive".
The moral of the story is don't post stuff you don't want to be there for a long
time.

Gentlemen
I purchased a huge amount (At least it is to me) of aviation nuts,
bolts, washers, etc at an estate sale. The gentlemen was an A&P and had
a very large assortment of fasteners, I made a deal with his brother for
all of it, unfortunately his brother was aware of it value but I still
managed to pay a reasonable price. I plan on taking what I need and
selling the rest, I don't know for sure at this time but I am certain it
will be less than half price for the rest which will be quite a lot. I
didn't buy this to make money, I just could not pass it up. I will sell
it in small quanties or the whole lot, let me know if you have interest
and I will send a list as soon as I have one.

When I built my forward tilting canopy for my 601HD I used those
drawings from Zenith. I must caution you though if they haven't been
changed the dimensions on the parts don't add up. By that I mean there
are deliberate errors in the dimensions. I say deliberate because CAD
programs will not make a dimensioning error, you have to edit it in
afterward. That said I was able to build my parts after working out some
of the dimensions.
