Hi Jeff, I think this is an option ordered with new engines destined for Zodiacs and other planes. You can probably get one new from either the factory or Jabiru USA (Pete Krotge). Good luck, Paul XL awaiting engineering changes At 05:13 AM 8/26/2009, you wrote: >I am in search of a Prop extension flange for a Jab3300, does anyone >have one for sale?

Anyone have a good contact for Al Beyers. I remember seeing his super sharp HDS a couple years ago at Osh and wanted to try and figure out what his HDS with a 3300 came out with for empty weight. Thanks for any help. -------- One Rivet at a Time! Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=259727#259727

Another 601XL is listed for sale on Barnstormers. Sadly, it's mine. After five years of building, a sudden job change has forced me to sell my completed airplane before I get a chance to fly it. The plane is complete, registered and only a few hours away from being ready for airworthiness inspection. Check out Barnstormers or my building blog www.geocities.com/stixx5a)for photos and info or e-mail me off-list. What a great project. If you're building, don't give up. Rich Vetterli Pleasanton, CA

Rich, I am sorry to hear your selling your plane. Looks really nice. I remember going to CC in Livermore with you. Hope things work out for you. I am curious how I can buy a plane that is "A few hours from air worthiness inspection." Doesn't the 51% rule come into effect? I don't want to seem rude, I really am curious on how to do this as my plane is about %80 done and I thought I couldn't sell it until it was done with the first 50 hrs? -------- Don Merritt- Laredo, Tx Apologies if I seem antagonistic. Subject: Problem with wiring for the elevator trim.
    From: "mosquito56" <mosquito-56@HOTMAIL.COM>
I purchased a kit that the owner had done the 2 day build seminar with. Consequently, the rudder and elevator were complete when I purchased the kit. The elevator trim motor has no holes to run the wires into the fuse. I really don't want to re-open the elevator and was wondering if I could rivet some wire fasteners near the elevator hinge doubler. Another thought was to glue the wire to the doubler with heat-wax gun. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks Don -------- Don Merritt- Laredo, Tx Apologies if I seem antagonistic. (on list :-) ) The 51% rule applies to all the builders of the aircraft. I think I am the 4th or 5th owner of my kit. I certainly didn't build 51% (which isn't measured in hours anyway). The important point is that the builders collectively did. And they all did it for their own entertainment and education and not "for hire" or profit. -- Craig -----Original Message----- From: owner-zenith-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-zenith-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of mosquito56 Sent: Wednesday, August 26, 2009 6:21 PM Subject: Zenith-List: Re: Another 601XL for sale (off list) I am curious how I can buy a plane that is "A few hours from air worthiness inspection." Hi Don, As I understand it, the 51 percent rule merely requires that the majority of work be done by amateurs - not one particular amateur. There is one regulatory issue that could come into play. Only one builder can get the "Repairman" certificate for each E-AB plane. This is usually the builder or majority builder. The repairman certificate allows a non-A&P to sign off annual condition inspections. Any A&P can also do this. Also, anyone can work on experimental aircraft without regard for licenses. Thanx for the info guys. I have decided to continue using the zinc chromate and rivet the plane before putting the engine on. I drilled my last holes today and will begin disassembly tomorrow for painting. -------- Don Merritt- Laredo, Tx Apologies if I seem antagonistic. From: "mosquito56" <mosquito-56@HOTMAIL.COM>
I want to install the torque tube for the flaps but the instructions show matching the hinge up to the center of rotation on the tube. Can I use the wing mounting bracket as a reference for the tube? How much error is ok to still allow the tube to work correctly? Should I wait till after I drill the hole to mount the wing?
