George and Leo Thank you for your input. I will keep the system as is and just lubricate it a little bit with graphite. Six years ago when I was installing our Rotax 912S I was warned by an experienced builder that the choke cable is notoriously hard to pull. True! I was also told not to worry about it - it will work fine. Also true! A couple of times a year, we shoot Rust Check (it is a very thin oil in a spray can, sold at Canadian Tire in Canada, but there will be counterparts everywhere) into each end of the cable sheath. It seems to suck its way in along the cable by capillary action. The only problem we once had was that the choke did not fully release when we pushed it in. Another application of Rust Check took care of the problem. John Goodings, C-FGPJ, CH601HD with R912S, Carp/Ottawa/Toronto.
