It's a mechanics stethoscope for $3.99 (sale price) that really works well. It was originally purchased to open an old combination safe and I realized the amplification is extreme and when one learns to listen to it you can not only find tumbler pickups, but you can also detect bad bearings on your band saw or your redrive, wheel bearings, distributor, etc. There are probably a few more things this tool is good for, so it seemed a worthwhile mention. All are welcome who have an interest in Aviation but the meeting is geared toward the builders and owners of Zenith Aircraft. You can definitely tell if a bearing is running good or has signs of wear even before it begins to rumble.
