They "strongly recommended" that the aircraft not be flown again until the necessary modifications are made. AMD has not issued the safety bulletin yet. Since there is no safety bulletin yet, it's still legal to fly the SLSA version. I'm told that it's been in development for a while, but know nothing about it. I'll be calling the factory Monday to get the scoop. -- Jay Maynard, K5ZC, PP-ASEL, CFI-SP http://www.conmicro.com http://jmaynard.livejournal.com http://www.tronguy.net Fairmont, MN (KFRM) (Yes, that's me!) They visited me on the last Sunday in August and, although my airplane flew after that, I have not flown it out of respect for them as well as respect for Jay, whose signature was on the line. I dont expect my aircraft to fly again until it comes out of its Conditional Inspection in early April. I am currently working on a pulse jet powered flying motorcycle. :O) Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=271622#271622 ________________________________ Message 5 _____________________________________ Time: 06:37:57 PM PST US From: Paul Mulwitz Subject: Re: Zenith-List: Re: FAA grounds 601 and 650 Hi Sabrina, I am impressed. I have always thought the German V-1 power plant might be useful for airplanes - at least to some degree. I'd sign up for a copy of your design if not for the fact that my limitation to fly only LSA compliant planes prevents use of anything except reciprocating engines. (I hope they will change this to include electric motors soon.)
