      All-
          I know you can clean buffing pads that get loaded with black crud 
      when polishing by soaking in TSP, but don't remember the specifics. Any 
      help?

      I just used soap and water and soap and water and soap and water, you 
      get the idea eventually the rinse is relatively clear.
