When you install the aileron just add weights until the aileron balances.
- When fully deflected it should return to center from either direction.
- You are right to remember to add the bolts, washers and nuts as they do
sometimes make a difference.- Also consider there are two different size
s (weights) of the counter weights for adjustment.- I did mine after rive
ting-the aileron closed and with it clecoed to the rear spar.=0A-Bill P

much weight to use. I have trim on one side, and paint as well. The upgrade
comes =0Awith 3 lbs.11oz. total of weights, plus the weight of the bolts,
and I have the flex hinges. Can anyone who has completed theirs advise me a
s to how much weight to use on each aileron?=0A--- --- --

Level the wing spars and hold the 9 degree angle of the main spar, cleco the aileron
with the arm attached, use the bolts and steel plates and move them along
the arm to get balance. Neutral aileron is along the inner upper aileron, hold
a straight edge, (L-Angle) along the rear wing rib closest to the inner upper
aileron.

It is important to set the main wing spar up at the correct angle and level the
main and rear spars lengthwise before balancing the aileron.
