A 3X is a good all-around size and should set the 3/16th rivets IF you size the bucking bar properly. 5 pounds seems to do a good job. N316JL (CH601HDS w/912ULS) took to the air this morning. She made one exciting trip around the circuit. Ran out of aileron trim trying trim out a left turning tendency. Had fumes in the cockpit from what appeared to be oil. Oil temps and pressure were good. After landing inspection showed no oil leaks. Must be the new burning off the exhaust system. Landing was uneventful, actually one of the best Ive made. This was probably due to the amount of concentration I was giving to the flight at the time. Thanks to Don Honabach letting me have some stick time in HDS a week ago. Without this time the flight could have been a lot more exciting. This has been a 10 year 10 month adventure from the rudder the workshop to the first flight. Im still flying high. Now to start working on the new punch list of things to do. Jerry

Jerry, Congrats! Try flying it from the right seat and see how much that helps with the left turning tendency. Just a thought, Sabrina Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=304417#304417

CONGRATS... Jeffery Davidson, please contact me on my cell if you get this message. 214.364.3071. I've got some questions for you about your HD with a 3300. I am taxi testing now and awaiting FAA paperwork and want to get some specifics on your performance as it seems to be the closest to my set up. I am an HD, with a 3300, weighing in at about 650#. Thanks, I CANT WAIT Until I'm there! -------- One Rivet at a Time! Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=304420#304420
