The Hudson is on the East coast. This was closer to the West coast. Roug
hly 2,500 miles apart.

You guys know who that is? I recognized him by the pic at the end... A
fellow Zenith builder: Mark Patey who flies a CH801 check him out at
www.Zenith.aero .. let me know if I am wrong! (Was not flying the 801,
obviously!) Looks like a Lancair

Holy cow, Jon!
You are absolutely correct. I had no idea who the pilot might have been
when I posted that. It was just a incredible example of an outstanding
pilot handling an emergency in a exemplary fashion. The plane in question
is definitely a Lancair.
My congratulations to Mark on a beautiful piece of flying.
