I just started week 8 at MIT and finally have a grade in every class... A+ in Humanities (group project) 97 average in Biology (83 class exam average) 98 average in Chemistry (70 class exam average) 99 average in Math (72 class exam average) (passed out of Physics: Classical Mechanics) The circus is in town and they park the train next to MIT and walk the animals past the campus and over the bridge to Boston... Really cool, especially when you are watching it from a sail boat on the Charles... I met EAA Member/Astronaut Stephen Robinson last week and he knew who I was and where I lived... He is so cool! MIT is an amazing place. I am told I got a lot of unsolicited support from the aircraft building community when I was on the wait list last Spring and MIT was deciding to let me in or not... thank you for helping to make the difference... Test flights continue on N5886Q--the tower is no longer nervous and treats my airplane like any other in the pattern. I was in Chicago for the past weekend for an orthodontist appointment and took my first Harley ride this Fall. Hugs to all of you... Keep up the good work. (You know, for my money the only acceptable grade point average is 4.0) I'm glad MIT isn't overwhelming you. I've known others who went there and just couldn't handle the workload. Have fun, Paul XL close to finishing upgrade on second wing - still need to do the fuselage. -----Original Message----- From: owner-zenith-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-zenith-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of Sabrina Sent: Wednesday, October 13, 2010 11:09 AM Subject: Zenith-List: Re: Update Hey Guys! It is unique in that in 2007, I learned of and purchased a second set of prototype Zenith factory built, interchangeable outer wings for it. These beautiful wings, tapered in both chord and thickness, similar but longer than the HDS wings were a one-of-a-kind, (pre XL) design that was never marketed. Zenith decided to pursue the speedier XL design instead and put these in storage were they were forgotten about for years, until I learned of them. It is powered by a 115 HP, Lycoming O-235-C1 with 240 hrs TT SMOH. It meets all LSA specs, with either set of wings, for present or future Sport Pilots. The price is $42,500 and it is hangared at Hobby Field (77S) Creswell, OR about 10 miles south of Eugene, Oregon along I-5. Additional details, as well as photos and video can be seen at the Zenith Aircraft Builders and Flyers website at www.zenith.aero/profile/JamesCMahaney . Please contact me directly, if interested, at mahaneyj(at)msn.com or through the zenith.aero website.
