Hey guys,
I just finished all 10 of my first semester exams with a 96 average, well into
the second standard deviation above MIT average.
Combined with my papers, projects and problem sets, my overall average is 97 pushing
98, about the same as I did at IMSA during high school.
I have one more paper due and three finals next month.
My first official Aero/Astro class will be at the Kennedy Space Center this January.
(MIT has 6 weeks off between semesters called an Independent Activities
Period.)
The chances of me producing a prototype of the military version of my flying motorcycle
design are picking up steam. It should be a fixed wing 250 pound empty
weight craft powered by a 15+hp ground run engine fitted with a single turbine,
probably the TJ100 by PBS. The full scale prototype should fit in our wind
tunnel. I am probably 3 years away from taxi runs and 5 years away from a
maiden flight. Although my first aircraft was a tricycle, this is not!
