I don't think the material was intended to be the finished part as supplied. It is ugly in the overhanging untrimmed state but cutting it back to size works well even after 5 years. Gary Ray 601XL-B, William Wynne Corvair engine -0.060 over, Roy's 5th bearing, Mark's Falcon Heads, 158 hrTT Excellent setup, no regrets Looking forward to CC#20 -----Original Message----- From: Steve Freeman Sent: Wednesday, May 25, 2011 2:49 AM Subject: Zenith-List: Main Gear Installation XL-B / 650B Hi List, Is anyone using a material other than the cut in half hoses that ZAC supplies as a cushion between the main gear support and and main landing gear? On my plans this is shown on page 6-G-3. These ZAC supplied hoses seem like they will do the job but it seems there must be a better (at least more attractive) solution. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Steve Freeman N902AL - 650B - fuselage moving along nicely.
