Subject: | Re: BRS for 601HDS |
I don't have an opinion about the BRS, but I want to add a comment about the HDS
being a joy to fly. I have owned mine for 2 years and have about 140 hours on
it and it is great. It would be hard to imagine a nicer plane to fly.

I remember seing posts and pictures of a BRS installation back un 2000. That added
about 40 lbs to the plane and it involved running cables covered with tape
outside the cabin on the fuselage sides.
Frankly, i agree with the other comments. My HD is so easy to fly. Not really
nervous about a forced landing (slow enough and big wings) except for rollover
protection. If i wanted to put more pounds, i would add them in that area
instead.
I have a friend that did a forced landing in a wood trail after a cranksharf failure.
The plane was damaged but my friend was not hurt.
