The complainer did agreed to the experiment when they placed the deposit and made the order for an engine that's never truly been tested in many aircraft before. What's really changed? The facts are that some of the engines are late because of design updates and ones so far in aircraft run well. Delay is also well known function of the experimental market. Some people will be upset with delay but most won't. We can always grow up and pay for the Bombardier if we want well tested engines now. Honda thought the en! gine was worth selling, and on the track it simply screams while holding up under vicious conditions. It also has the the same reliability on the water. So far it looks like the experiment is working, and working well. Time will tell. I for one hope it works well and Jan makes a few bucks on his dedication to the experimental community. Patience Prudence. You can ask in writing to get your money back instead of backbiting. I'd bet you would get a check. A quote from ADM Rickover is in order. Not knocking Jon as he has done some impressive stuff but why is it ok to take a mans money and not deliver the product for months and sometimes even years? I know it takes money for R & D but with that doesn't include not answering the phone or hanging up on people because you can't deliver, most times a honest conversation is all that is required for a smooth business transaction to be completed and when hang ups become the norm the buyer has every right to bitch and post about it. Here is my concept of business 101 when dealing with experimental stuff. ... I create an idea, spend MY money on development and test it beyond n ormal methods to assure myself and the future buyer it is sound and viab le. Only then will I ACCEPT a small deposit for me to furnish the custo mer a working firewall forward powerplant. I will ask for the remaining balance when that engine is finished and ready to ship. The original pos ter claimed he paid a deposit, and then paid the remaining balance, wait ed weeks, and got hung up on when questioning Eggenfellner on a delivery date....... Can anyone tell me (roughly or specifically) what the amount of space should be between the rear of the upper engine mount and the front of 65-C-2-2, bottom bracket? This placement seems critical to me for proper geometry on the canopy arms but I cannot find it in the plans. NR is better than the Bose X's and they seem to fit my head a little better too. But I quickly discovered that with the A20's you now have to hit the NR Power button *every time* you start the aircraft even if you have them panel powered. The older Bose X headsets have a slide switch for the NR power and so you can just put the slide switch in the On position and not worry about it. I really didn't like having to turn the NR on all the time and having to remind my passengers about it, so I came up with a modification that will automatically turn the NR on when panel power is applied. Its pretty simple, but requires some special tools. Its completely self-contained inside the Control Module and works great. The modification is generally only for installations that are panel-powered, but you could do the modification to a unit that is normally battery powered with no adverse effect. With the modification, the NR Power button will work normally in battery power installations. I created web page on the procedure including step-by-step photos and instructions.
