I have a Nuvite polished plane which is not intended to be an Oshkosh show
winner=2C but the polish job does look nice. I have two main tools I use:
1) A grinder/polisher with 7" wool polishing pads attached by velcro=2C and
2) A Craftsman orbital polisher from Sears that I use with left-over flann
el cloth. This orbital polisher is much cheaper than the one Nuvite recomm
ends (the one you are looking at). Here are the steps I used to take the 6
061 aluminum from the dull factory finish to bright:
1. Wet sand with 1000 grit sand paper
2. Wet sand with 1500 grit sand paper
3. Polish with grinder/polisher and wool pads using Nuvite "C" grade polish
(repeat as necessary)
4. Polish with the orbital polisher and flannel using Nuvite "S"
5. Clean between stages with Nuvite Nuimage cleaner.
Your mileage may vary.

Carlos,
I have a polished 601 HDS. I used the method outlined on the Nuvite web site for
polishing aluminum. I used a polisher that I purchased from Harbor Freight
tools.
http://www.harborfreight.com/7-inch-variable-speed-polisher-sander-92623.html
I purchased the wool pads from Nuvite.
For the finish polish steps I used another polisher from Harbor Freight Tools.
http://www.harborfreight.com/10-inch-random-orbit-waxer-polisher-43424.html
Like Phil, I used flannel cloth that I purchased from a fabric store. Be careful
here not all flannel is really soft. You need to feel the flannel and select
the softest that you can find.
I'm sure the polisher that are looking at will do the job, but there are cheaper
ways to do it.
Hope this helps

Carlos-
I agree with Jerry. My orbital polisher came from K-Mart, but the
brunt of the work was done using the HF rotary polisher.

Dresser tire?

That's where I bought mine. Seemed pretty reasonable for the Condor brand.
