I'm flying behind a Jabiru 3300A with my battery on the firewall. I'm not s ure about the weight differences with a corvair, but for me I didn't have a ny W&B issues in my setup using just the front of spar ~11 gallon wing tank s. Within all variations I cannot get it out of CG unless it were loaded beyond 1300 lbs., my max utility wt. Would think the Corvair would be close if not a bit forward on the CG. I've a program you can have that you can modify numbers to run the variations for your plane if you want it. It runs on EXCEL and is nicely done and easy to use.
