        Hi List -

Anyone out there who might be building a 601XL or 650 using a Lycoming
0235 engine.Where are you putting your battery and what kind are you
using? I know this engine is heavier than a lot of other solutions so I
am concerned about the forward C/G and have no idea how to figure that
      BEFORE the airplane is complete.

Any help or advice is certainly appreciated.

        Thanks,

      Hi Joe,

If I am not mistaken this puts your battery 4" in front of the Front HT
Frame. I have never seen a battery this far back. Did you also install an
access door so you can get to the batter for service? Can you describe how
you get your cables to the front and where are you grounding the negative
      terminal?

Also - what kind of battery do you have and how much does it weigh?

      Thanks for responding,

      Steve
