fuel system
      
      hello   i have a 601 hds with corvair eng and marshal sheibler carb.  i 
      may not use header tank due to maybe a problem with wt and bal so can i 
      go from pump into carb without a pressure regulator in stead of pumping 
      to header?  also is anyone with the corvair in this plane haveing wt and 
      bal problems?  thanks a lot    ralph

      I'm finishing up building a 601XL and used the William Wynne book you can find
      at this link:

      I have that carb also and have fuel pump on the firewall feeding the carb no issues
      but ya gotta use the right pump.  The book details these and many other things.
      
      In the book he shows mounting the battery behind the passenger seat which should
      help with the W/B.
