The brakes on my plane hold firm at full throttle, but the thrust tends to drag
the plane forward anyway, dragging the tires.

And the breaks held ok at full throttle? I have heard many reports that is not
always the case.

Brake slippage is usually do to the pads not being SET - Burnt In [See the
brake manufacture's procedure].
This also has to deal with WHAT pads you are using. The OLD and VERY GOOD
pads are made with asbestos. These are NOT FAA or EPA approved items.
They are GREAT, They Work and They Last & Last. The other stuff, well,
they are better for the environment, So Say the EPA. Just remember - Don't
go SNORTING your brakes after landing; I don't care how much they smoke.
Better to snort - cinnamon.

Hello, folks
I am building a CH601-HD, but want to incorporate some of the firewall
changes from the 601XL and 650...
Can someone provide the measurements (including material and thickness) of
6B7-4 (slide cover) and 6B7-5 (steering box slide).
Thanks much
Carlos
CH601-HD, starting to look like and airplane (if you have enough
imagination)

Brakes weren't a factor for this test. The tail is chained to the earth via concrete
and an eyebolt. Look at the pictures here.
